FLOPPY DISK

A removable disk that has data stored on it. The Floppy disk usually comes in a 3.5" format and has a 1.44MB capacity. It is very useful for storing small programs such as documents and data files, but its relatively small size and slow speed when compared to the Hard Drive does not make it much more useful than that.

FRONT SIDE BUS (FSB)

The front side bus (FSB) resides inside the processor and connects the CPU to the systems main memory. It runs at 66, 100, 133 or 200MHz, depending on the motherboard and the CPU. It is in contrast to the backside bus that connects the CPU to the L2 cache.
