Everything you buy from BuildYourOwnComputer.Net is backed by our 30 day Guarantee against defects by the manufacturer's warranty. Can I return my software purchase?

If you encounter a defect with a software purchase we will gladly exchange product upon the receipt of the defective item (less shipping and handling costs). Sorry, due to copyright and licensing laws, we do not accept software returns after the package has been opened. Defective software will be exchanged for the same title only. You must obtain a Return Authorization number from BuildYourOwnComputer.Net within 30 days of date of purchase. (To learn more about obtaining a Return Authorization see below.)

Can I return my hardware purchase?

Every third party product you buy from BuildYourOwnComputer.Net is backed by the product manufacturer's warranty and BuildYourOwnComputer.Net's 30 day limited warranty against defects. BuildYourOwnComputer.Net's 30 day limited warranty is a defective exchange policy that provides for either repair or replacement (at our sole discretion) of merchandise that has been confirmed as defective by either the manufacturer or BuildYourOwnComputer.Net. Hardware confirmed as defective by the manufacturer or BuildYourOwnComputer.Net will either be exchanged or repaired at our sole discretion within the first 30 days of ownership. After 30 days, the product manufacturers warranty is the only warranty in effect. Terms and conditions may vary by product or manufacturer. BuildYourOwnComputer.Net will assist customers in gaining satisfaction with product manufacturers. For assistance or to exchange a defective product please call (718)369-7004. Products returned for exchange must be in new condition, original packaging and include all disks, registration cards, packing materials and other accessories and be received within 30 days of the original invoice date. We reserve the right to refuse for return or charge a restocking fee for damaged or incomplete returns. No returns will be accepted without an Return Authorization (RA) number issued by BuildYourOwnComputer.Net or when the product manufacturers or distributors return policies supersede ours.. What is the policy on CPU's?

All CPU's come with 90-day support and 1 year defective exchange. NO RETURNS ARE ACCEPTED ON CPU'S. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR INCOMPATIBILITY. In the event that you receive a defective CPU, please contact support. CPUs deemed defective over the phone will be brought to our depot for testing. If a CPU chip is tested defective, an exchange will be done.

What is a Return Authorization number or R.A. Number?

A Return Authorization number is an identification number issued to a client who needs to return an item back to BuildYourOwnComputer.Net for an exchange or credit. It is very important to have the Return Authorization number posted outside of a return package in order to properly process any exchange or credit.

How do I get a Return Authorization number?

Please call us at (718)369-7004 to receive an RA (Return Authorization) number. After you receive your RA number, you must return all disks, registration cards, boxes, packing materials, and other accessories supplied by the manufacturer to us within 30 days of BuildYourOwnComputer.Net's original invoice date. These materials must be in new condition or we cannot accept them for return. We reserve the right to refuse for return or charge a restocking fee for damaged or incomplete returns or when the manufacturer's/distributor's warranty or return policies supersede ours.
